Asourtripcametoanend,wereturnedhomeknowingthattimewasrunningout.Buteveninthefaceofsuchadversity,weremainedhopeful.Daysturnedintoweeks,andweeksturnedintomonths.Butevenasherillnessprogressed,weremainedstrong.Weweredeterminedtomakethemostofeverymomentwehadleft.Astheenddrewnear,wesattogether,holdinghands.Shelookedatmeandsaid,"Iloveyou."Thosewerethelastwordssheeverspoke.Inthedaysthatfollowed,Iwaslostwithouther.Ididn'tknowhowtogoonwithoutherbymyside.
