Lilystartedresearchingcharitiesandorganizationsthatworkedtoprovidecleanwatertothoseinneed.Shewantedtofindonethatwasefficientandeffective,sothatshecouldbesureherdonationswouldmakearealdifference.Aftermuchresearch,LilysettledonacharitycalledWater.org.Theyhadastrongtrackrecordofsuccessandwerewell-respectedinthefieldofwatersanitationandhygiene.Lilystartedmakingmonthlydonationstotheorganization,knowingthathermoneywashelpingpeoplegetaccesstocleanwater.ButLilywasn'tcontenttojustdonatemoney.Shewantedtodomore.Soshestartedvolunteeringwithlocalorganizationsthatworkedonwater-relatedissues.Shehelpedorganizefundraisersandawarenesscampaigns,andevenwentonavolunteertriptoaruralvillageinKenyatohelpbuildwellsandteachaboutproperhygiene.Lily'spassionforhelpingotherswasinfectious.Shestartedtoinspirepeoplearoundhertogetinvolvedtoo,andsoonshehadawholenetworkoffriendsandacquaintanceswhowereworkingtomakeadifferenceintheworld.
