Butashenearedadulthood,hefacedasetbackthatthreatenedtoextinguishhisburningdesire.Hewasdiagnosedwitharareeyeconditionthatlefthimpartiallyblind.Hewasdevastated,butherefusedtoletitstophim.Headaptedtohiscondition,learningtoseetheworldinanewway.Hediscoveredthathisothersenseshadbecomeheightened,andheusedthisnewfoundabilitytostudythestarsinevengreaterdetail.Hisdeterminationonlygrewstronger,andhesethissightsonbecominganastronaut.Heknewitwouldbealonganddifficultjourney,butherefusedtoletanythingstandinhisway.Hefacedmanyobstaclesalongtheway,fromsetbacksinhiseducationtofinancialstruggles.Buthepersisted,drivenbyhisburningdesiretoreachthestars.
Hemadesacrificesalongtheway,givinguphissociallifeandworkingtirelesslytoachievehisgoals.Butheneverlostsightofhisdream,andhisburningdesireonlygrewstronger.Andthenoneday,hemadeadiscoverythatwouldchangeeverything.Hefoundawaytousehisuniqueperspectivetoanalyzedatainawaynooneelsehadbefore.HisbreakthroughcaughttheattentionofNASA,andhewasofferedapositionasaresearcher.Hisbreakthroughledtonewdiscoveriesandadvancementsinspaceexploration.Hewaspraisedforhisinnovativethinking,andhisnamebecamesynonymouswithprogressinthefield.Hewassoonrecognizedasoneofthemostbrilliantmindsinhisfield,andhewasawardednumerousaccoladesforhiswork.Butheneverforgottheburningdesirethathadstartedhimonthisjourney.
