Inaworldwhereself-promotionandindividualisticendeavorsarecelebrated,itiseasytoforgetthebeautyofaltruism.However,therearestillafewwhochoosetolivetheirlivesselflessly,devotingthemselvestohelpingothers.Thisisthestoryofonesuchperson.MeetSarah,awomanwhogrewupwithverylittlebutalwayshadaheartfullofloveandkindness.Despitefacingnumerouschallengesthroughoutherlife,sheneverlostheroptimisticoutlookanddesiretohelpthosearoundher.Asayoungadult,Sarahstartedworkingatalocalhomelessshelter,whereshequicklybecameknownforhercompassionatenatureandunwaveringdedicationtothecause.Shespentcountlesshoursvolunteering,neverexpectinganythinginreturn.

AsSarah'shealthcontinuedtodeteriorate,manyofherfriendsandcolleaguestriedtoconvincehertotakeastepbackandfocusonherownwell-being.ButSarahwasdeterminedtokeepgivingaslongasshecould.Evenasshelayinherhospitalbed,Sarahcontinuedtothinkofothers.Shewouldoftenaskhervisitorshowtheyweredoingandiftherewasanythingshecoulddotohelpthem.Oneday,ayounggirlwhohadbeendiagnosedwithcancercametovisitSarahinthehospital.Thetwostruckupaconversation,andSarahquicklybecameasourceofcomfortandinspirationforthegirl.Sarahmadeithermissiontohelptheyounggirlinanywayshecould.Shespenthoursresearchingalternativetreatmentsandconnectedthegirlwithothercancersurvivorswhocouldoffersupportandadvice.
