Preface:

Onceuponatime,inafarawayforest,livedatimideaglenamedOliver.Oliverwasbornwithatimidnature,alwaysafraidtotakerisksandtrynewthings.Alltheothereaglesintheforestwerebraveandfearless,soaringhighabovethetreesandhuntingforprey.ButOliverwascontenttostayclosetotheground,watchingtheothereagleswithenvyandlonging.Oneday,somethinghappenedthatchangedeverythingforOliver...Oliverwasperchedonalowbranch,watchingtheothereaglessoaringabovehim.Suddenly,heheardaloudnoisethatstartledhim.Itwasahunter'sgunfiring,andoneoftheeagleshadbeenshotdown.Theothereaglesscatteredinfear,butOlivercouldnotmove.Hewasrootedtothespot,paralyzedwithfear.Afterthehunterleft,Oliverwenttoinvestigatethefalleneagle.Tohissurprise,hefoundthatitwasoneofhisclosestfriends,abraveeaglenamedMax.Oliverfeltapangofguiltandshameathisowncowardice,realizingthathecouldhavebeentheretohelphisfriendifhewasn'tsoafraid.

Fromthatdayon,Oliverbegantoreflectonhisownlifeandhisfearoftakingrisks.Herealizedthathewasmissingoutonsomuchbystayinginhiscomfortzone.Healsorealizedthatheneededtochangeifhewantedtobetrulyhappyandsuccessful.SoOlivermadeadecisionthatwouldchangehislifeforever.Hedecidedtofacehisfearshead-onandbecomeabraveeaglelikehisfriendMax.Heknewitwouldn'tbeeasy,buthewasdeterminedtotry.ThefirststepOlivertookwastopracticeflyinghigherandhighereveryday.Atfirst,hewasterrifiedofleavingthesafetyofthetreesandventuringintotheopensky.Buthekeptpushinghimself,littlebylittle,untilhewasflyingashighastheothereagles.ThesecondstepOlivertookwastohuntforpreyonhisown.Hehadalwaysreliedonotherstohuntforhim,butheknewheneededtolearnhowtodoithimselfifhewantedtobeatrueeagle.Itwasscaryatfirst,buthekeptatit,andsoonhewascatchinghisownprey.

ThethirdstepOlivertookwastofacehisbiggestfear:thefearoffalling.Hehadalwaysbeenafraidthathewouldfallfromtheskyandcrashtotheground.Butheknewthathehadtoconquerthisfearifhewantedtobeagreateagle.Sohestartedpracticingflyingupsidedownanddoingloop-de-loops,untilhewasnolongerafraidoffalling.AsOliverbecamebraverandmoreconfident,theothereaglesintheforestbegantonotice.TheywereamazedathowmuchOliverhadchanged,andtheystartedtorespecthimasafelloweagle.ButtherewasstillonechallengethatOliverhadtoovercome:hisfearofstorms.Whenevertherewasathunderstorm,Oliverwouldhideinhisnest,terrifiedofthelightningandthunder.Butoneday,therewasahugestormthatlastedfordays,andOliverknewhecouldn'thideforever.SoOliverflewoutintothestorm,facingthelightningandthunderhead-on.Itwasthescariestthinghehadeverdone,buthekeptflying,determinedtoovercomehisfear.Andafterawhile,somethingamazinghappened:thestormbegantodissipate,andthesuncameout.

Fromthatdayon,Oliverwasachangedeagle.Hewasnolongerafraidofanything,andhehadbecomeoneofthebravesteaglesintheforest.Hehaddiscoveredthatcouragewasnottheabsenceoffear,butthewillingnesstofaceit.ButOliver'sstorydidnotendthere.Oneday,agreatdangercametotheforestthatthreatenedalltheanimalswholivedthere...Agroupofhuntershadcometotheforest,armedwithgunsandtraps.Theyweredeterminedtocaptureasmanyanimalsastheycouldandsellthemformoney.Theotheranimalswereafraidanddidn'tknowwhattodo,butOliverknewthathehadtoact.SoOliverflewouttoconfrontthehunters,fearlesslystandinguptothemanddemandingthattheyleavetheforest.Atfirst,thehunterslaughedathim,thinkinghewasjustasmallandweakeagle.Butthensomethingamazinghappened:otheranimalsbegantojoinOliver,standinguptothehuntersandrefusingtobecaptured.

TheTimidEagle

Thehuntersweresurprisedandoverwhelmedbytheanimals'braveryanddetermination.Theyrealizedthattheycouldnotdefeatthem,andsotheylefttheforest,defeated.Afterthehuntersweregone,theanimalscelebratedtheirvictory.Oliverwashailedasahero,andtheotheranimalsthankedhimforhiscourageandleadership.Oliverfeltasenseofprideandjoythathehadneverfeltbefore.ButOliverknewthathecouldnottakeallthecredit.Herealizedthatitwashisownfearthathadmotivatedhimtobecomebrave,andthatitwasonlybyovercominghisfearthathehadbeenabletohelpothers.SoOliversharedhisstorywiththeotheranimals,tellingthemabouthisownjourneyfromfeartocourage.Heencouragedthemtofacetheirownfearsandtobecomebrave,justlikehehad.

Andfromthatdayon,theforestwasadifferentplace.Theanimalswerenolongerafraid,andtheyworkedtogethertoprotecttheirhomefromanydangerthatmightcometheirway.Oliverhadbecomeatrueleader,inspiringotherswithhiscourageanddetermination.Hehadshownthemthatanythingwaspossible,aslongastheyhadthecouragetofacetheirfearsandtry.AndasforOliverhimself,hewasnowthehappiesthehadeverbeen.Hehaddiscoveredhistruepotential,andheknewthathecouldaccomplishanythinghesethismindto.Hehadbecometheeaglehehadalwaysdreamedofbeing.Intheend,Oliver'sstorywasastoryofcourageandtransformation.Itshowedthateventhemosttimidofcreaturescouldbecomebraveandsoarhigherthantheyeverthoughtpossible.Allittookwasthewillingnesstofaceone'sfearsandtotry.AndthatwasalessonthatOliverwouldneverforget.
