Lifecanbeajourneyfilledwithupsanddowns,whereweoftenfindourselveslosinginterestinthingsthatoncemadeushappy.Thisisthestoryofalittleboywhohadnointerestinanything,untilhefoundhispassion.TherewasalittleboynamedTimmywholivedinasmalltowninthecountryside.Hewasaquietchildwhorarelyspoke,andalwaysseemedtobelostinhisownthoughts.Timmy'sparentswereworriedabouthimbecausehehadnointerestinanything.Hedidn'tlikeplayingwithtoys,watchingcartoons,orevengoingoutsidetoplay.
Theytriedeverythingtosparkhisinterest,butnothingseemedtowork.Theytookhimtothepark,boughthimnewtoys,andevensignedhimupforclasses,butstill,Timmyremaineddisinterested.Timmy'sparentswereataloss,andtheydidn'tknowwhattodo.Theywereworriedthattheirsonwouldgrowuptobeanunhappyandunfulfilledadult.Oneday,Timmy'smothersawanadforapaintingclassforchildreninthelocalcommunitycenter.Shethoughtitmightbeworthatry,soshesignedhimupfortheclass.WhenTimmyarrivedattheclass,hewashesitantatfirst.Hedidn'tknowanyone,andhehadneverpaintedbefore.
Butassoonashepickedupapaintbrushandstartedtopaint,somethingchangedwithinhim.Hebecamecompletelyabsorbedintheprocess,andforthefirsttimeinalongwhile,hefelttrulyhappy.Timmypaintedeverydayafterthat,andhisparentswereamazedatthetransformationtheysawinhim.Hewasmoretalkative,moreengaged,andmuchhappier.Timmy'spassionforpaintinggrewstrongereveryday,andhespenthoursuponhourscreatingbeautifulworksofart.Hisparentswerethrilledtoseehimsohappy,andtheyencouragedhimtokeeppainting.Theyboughthimnewartsuppliesandevenenteredsomeofhispaintingsintolocalartcontests.
Timmy'stalentwasquicklyrecognized,andsoon,hewaswinningawardsforhisartwork.Heevenhadhisfirstsoloexhibitionatthelocalgallerywhenhewasonlytenyearsold.Timmy'sinterestinpaintinghadgivenhimasenseofpurpose,andhewasnolongerthedisinterestedboythatheoncewas.Hestartedtotakeaninterestinotherthings,too.Hebegantoreadbooksaboutartandartists,andheevenstartedtoexploreotherformsofart,suchassculptureandphotography.Timmyhadfoundhispassion,andithadopenedupawholenewworldforhim.
Ashegrewolder,Timmypursuedhisloveofart,andheeventuallywentontostudyataprestigiousartschoolinthecity.Hebecameasuccessfulartist,andhispaintingswereexhibitedingalleriesallovertheworld.Butevenwithallhissuccess,Timmyneverforgotwherehecamefrom.Hereturnedtohishometownoften,andheevenstartedapaintingclassforchildrenatthelocalcommunitycenter.Timmywantedtogivebacktotheplacethathadgivenhimsomuch,andhehopedthathecouldinspireotherchildrentofindtheirpassion,too.
Timmy'sstoryisatestamenttothepoweroffindingyourpassion.Whenyoufindsomethingthatyoutrulylove,itcanchangeyourlifeinwaysthatyouneverthoughtpossible.Ifyou'refeelingdisinterestedorunfulfilled,don'tgiveuphope.Keepsearchingforthatthingthatmakesyouhappy,andwhenyoufindit,holdontoitwithallyourmight.Lifeistooshorttospenditfeelingdisinterestedandunfulfilled.Findyourpassion,andletitleadyoutoalifefullofjoyandpurpose.Thelittleboywholosthisinteresthadfoundhispassion,andhehadneverbeenhappier.
